Korean Society of Pediatric Endocrinology
October 23~24, 2025, Seoul, Korea
History
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The Korean Society of Pediatric Endocrinology (KSPE) originated from the Korean Study Group of Pediatric Endocrinology (April 1987 ~ October 1995) on the recognition of the necessity of information exchange and academic research for pediatric endocrinologic diseases.
After its inception of the Korean Study Group, the Korean Society of Pediatric Endocrinology (KSPE) was established in October 1995 by holding scientific meetings and making efforts to form the organization, with the following objectives.
01 | The members exchange the latest information on pediatric endocrinology. |
---|---|
02 | We contribute to the advancement of pediatric endocrinology both domestically and internationally by promoting research in the field. |
03 | We enhance knowledge and experience of the members by regularly organizing symposiums and conferences |
04 | We provide new members entering the field of pediatric endocrinology with opportunities to acquire knowledge and conduct research. |
05 | We offer educational programs to non-member pediatricians and specialists in other fields to help them broaden their knowledge and experience. |
06 | We provide improved, high-quality medical treatment for children and adolescents with endocrine diseases to enable them to develop into adulthood and have an opportunity to contribute to society. |
07 | We contribute to public health through research on the prevalence and incidence of pediatric endocrine diseases in Korea to gather statistical data and ultimately establish a registration system for such diseases. |
08 | We hold a public campaign to raise general awareness of pediatric endocrine diseases to minimize cases where patients experience any social disadvantage. |
09 | We establish channels for exchanging information with pediatric endocrinology societies in other countries and regions. |
10 | We build relationships with other Korean societies to provide the members with opportunities to experience a broader range of knowledge beyond pediatric endocrinology. |
11 | We provide a platform to contribute to the advancement of Korean pediatric endocrinology by fostering camaraderie among the members. |
